About 185Kg of this coarse octahedrite was found between 1896 and 1898, 15 and 25 miles from Arispe. There are few visible inclusions apart from small areas of schreibersite but etching reveals the superb, large and clearly defined crystal boundaries. Quite a difficult iron to obtain.
