Kernouve
(Morbihan, France) H6 veined (stone)
Fell 22nd May 1869
Loud detonations and a bright fireball announced the arrival of this European witnessed fall, resulting in a conical stone of 80Kg being recovered. Kernouve is 131 years old but has been preserved well and is still very fresh - cut sections reveal a grey matrix with black chondrules and a high amount of bright nickel iron.
