(Morocco) CR2 Carbonaceous Chondrite (stone)
When cut and polished, NWA 801 reveals the characteristic CR2 features of metal-rimmed "armored" chondrules, lots of bright metal in the matrix, and the occasional chondrule consisting of around 50% metal & 50% silicates. Small, black carbonaceous inclusions are also scattered through the matrix, making for one of the most visual and interesting new meteorites around.
This is an incredibly difficult meteorite to photograph, as capturing the reflective metal in an image fades out the chondrules and other features.
