NWA Meteorites (Unclassified)
The following NWA's have all been collected by wandering nomads in the deserts of Morocco and Algeria, before being sold to Moroccan traders who sell them in bulk to the highest bidder. With such collecting techniques, the find location and total known weight of the meteorites in a particular strewnfield is lost. Many thousands of newly discovered stony meteorites have been coming out of the hot desert in the past few years, literally by the ton - creating a glut on the market and overloading researchers with simply too many meteorites to analyse and classify.
They are mostly ordinary chondrites (H, L or LL type) of substantial terrestrial age and highly weathered, although the good news is that these NWA's are now the cheapest meteorites available, and in some cases, very cheap for such meteoritic material.
