Report of Meteorite Fall in San Carlos, Uruguay

Some additional information on the fall from El Pais.

The location looks to be around 34° 47' 33.7" S 54° 56' 01.0" W.

The 712 gram meteorite is being described as a breccia.

David, thanks for the updates. I wonder, could this be the first time a TV has been struck by a meteorite?

It's the only occurrence I know of. I wonder if in fifty years time the Samsung will finish up in a museum, like Ann Hodge's radio?

More likely that the TV, ceiling and anything else that was hit has already been sold to the highest bidder...........
