With a strange coincidence i am off on my hols travelling through Brittany in a few days. But with a wife and child in tow doing any meteorite hunting might be problematic! Am following reports closely though so if there is a chance we might be nearby then i might try some sweet talking, you never know...........

I'm on hols this week and next, and we chose Cornwall over that area of France!

I'm gutted, the wife is quite pleased!

Summary:

Reports of a bright meteor followed by sonic boom.
The time of the meteor is generally reported as 2011 July 19 05:15 local which equates to 2011 July 19 03:15 UTC.
The sonic effects will be some time later.
