The University of Arizona is designing a NASA mission to one of our closest asteroids which will collect a sample and bring that sample back to Earth. The asteroid could contain carbon and organic molecules and if so, this might help explain how organic molecules made their way to Earth. Dante Lauretta is the principal scientist. He describes the mission and what it hopes to achieve.
